Curriculum
At Pershing Piano Studio special attention is paid to cultivating a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of music from the very beginning with each and every piano lesson. Areas of focus include the study of scale and music theory, sight reading, ear training, proper hand technique and musical interpretation. Students are also introduced to the music of composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann and Schubert.
Class Requirements
All students are encouraged to take a one-hour piano lesson once a week and complete homework assignments based on topics covered during the class.
Although practice times may vary based on age and level of musicianship, students are encouraged to practice a minimum of four to five days a week to review and study what was covered during the weekly piano class. This enables students to refine their technique, enhance their musicality, improve focus and concentration, and cultivate a work ethic that results in mastery of the instrument.

A piano or keyboard will be required to complete homework assignments.
